Andy writes wonderfully evocative songs on guitar and piano and has a stellar singing voice. Superbly accompanied by the fantastic Barry (violin, guitar) and Les (bass) and Mel Wright (drums) the 'Andy Smythe Band' are currently taking the UK folk/acoustic scene by storm! The band's debut album 'Nation of the Free' was released on Feb 1st on Cadiz Music. It's currently a featured release on the rock and main pages of itunes!

A great gig just the other day down in Whitstable, and now we're on the road again... at stortfolk at the British Legion in Bishops Stortford this coming Thursday, then down at the Punch and Judy in Tonbridge on Feb 7th. More dates to be announced soon, and congratulations to Barry on his wedding!

We're gearing up to a great pre-xmas show at Footscray Live at the Footscray Social Club on Sunday Dec 11th. Should be great! A wonderfully friendly club. Only £2 of non-members. The night will kick off from 8pm..

Wow what a couple of weeks. Really enjoyed supporting the Real Thing at Havering Festival. Whopping big stage, great sound. Just got back from Brighton- wonderful gig down in Hove. Great pub, wonderful people. Great to see that live music is still alive and kicking!
